Blackbird (2022) on Netflix

"Some years ago" - in Eastern Europe, secret agent Victor Blackley is at a hotel with his girlfriend Vivian, when he gets a phone to meet his partner Nick outside a local square. Disguised as a clown, we see him on the trail of international assassin Jonas. Meeting up with Nick, they watch as a helicopter picks up Jonas. But improvising a bazooka out of garbage, Victor and Nick manage to shoot down the helicopter into the sea.But returning to base, Blackley is dismissed by his boss the Head, who wanted Jonas apprehended not assassinated. Blackley rather than be fired, quits. The present - Victor, known as Blackbird runs the Blackbird hotel in Barbados, the hottest spot in town. Nick is there, staying after his divorce and working part-time as bodyguard. One night, Vivian appears, with her jerk-ass boyfriend Andrew. Breaking up with him, she catches the eye of Blackley, and they start talking again. Vivian we learn is a thief who has stolen a microfilm of deadly weapons being developed in an Arab state. On the run, she asks to hide in the nightclub. Visiting the nightclub is a mysterious but deadly beauty named Brea, who strangles Andrew, then tries to seduce Victor. Nick comes in, and rescues Victor, but Brea escapes. Victor and Nick pursue her through Barbados, but she kills Nick and escapes in a speedboat. Nick dies in Victor's arms.
