    I am not sure what movie the people who have given this movie a bad rating are watching, but surely they couldn't have seen the one I just saw. What I saw was clever, amusing and downright fun. With kids animated films, they usually try to smarten up the trailer because the movie itself is too dumbed down. In the case of Freddy Frogface, it's the opposite. I was not expecting the smart film that this is. It is not overdone with pointless violence or overkilled with characters reciting obvious lines that imply messages the kids are supposed to walk away with. The movie's setup, characters and smart delivery already do all the work of delivering the message without someone TRYING to drive a point home. It's a kids movie that kids can actually plug into. It is not an ADULT'S version of what they believe a kids movie should be, its a kids story told the way a kid would tell it, and that is so much more appealing.

    To those who are saying the movie sends the wrong message, I am not understanding HOW it does that?! Freddy was a bully who treated everyone like dirt, and in the end FREDDY'S OWN PLAN to stop Victor from finally having the last laugh and being a hero completely falls apart. Freddy wanted to win so badly that he didn't consider that winning sometimes has a negative cost he never considered, and that those who are mean to others always are paid back in the end, usually by their own undoing. Sounds like a great message to me, and it was delivered properly, and without the need for the characters to launch into stupid, sappy or silly songs every five minutes to tell it. Anyone who sees this film as negative in any way apparently has been so brainwashed by the animated drivel that oozes out of the Hollywood machine's butt that they can no longer recognize when a proper kids movie actually DOES come along. As someone else said, I too, am hoping for a sequel, and as anyone who's read my movie reviews knows, I am not ordinarily the biggest defender of sequels in ANY genre. 5 stars++ for having the guts to buck the cookie cutter kids movie system, ingenuity, storytelling and reaching kids on THEIR level and making the adults smile along in the process.

    I have read a lot of negative opinions about this movie not from this site but from net flicks and I do not see anything wrong with this movie. It is fun, light, and awesome artwork. I love how the character says his dog's name. My favorite part is (no I wont give anything away) oh heck you will just have to buy it and watch it. I do not have kids and I watch kids flicks all the time. thank you

    This movie is awful. We rented it thinking it could be cute. There were at least 3 cuss words within the first 10 minutes. Unacceptable in a children's movie...PG? It needs at LEAST a PG-13 rating for the amount of cussing it.

    We rented this movie, reluctantly, because there wasnt much selection in our Redbox. It looked like it was going to be a bore, but it was great! The 'cussing' other reviewers mention is extremely mild (is 'friggin' a cuss word now?) and this nonsense about it teaching bad morals or what ever, is crazy. Do all movies have to be a teaching tool now? Movies cant just be good fun??

    My 4 year old and I loved this movie. The animation is pretty good (it was 3-D in theaters) and the voice acting is fantastic. Its cute enough for kids, a little naughty, too, so that is fun. It has alot of humor that is amusing for adults as well as kids.

    The notion that movies for kids need to be squeaky clean is just rubbish, imho. This isnt a bad movie. There are worse 'role models' in the Disney princess movies than in this. This, at least, is creative! It doesnt show little kids that all their problems will be solved if theyre beautiful and find a rich man to marry. This movie is just a fun go round with some kids.

    Were buying it, so we can watch it again :}

    I had no idea if my grandson would enjoy this movie - but the bright colors, cute story and continuous action keep him glued to it every time I let him watch it! I rechecked Amazon to see if there were any other Freddy Frogface stories, <chanting> sequel sequel.. ;)
