Notes on a Dromedary (2022) on Netflix

An adolescent on a remote place narrates his story marked by a past in the Sahara being a camel, Pringles fries, the desire for fat women's bodies, strange drawings, colonizers and reggaeton.

"Notes on a Dromedary" was done with the mentor-ship of Werner Herzog, during the Film Accelerator 2021. It is a hybrid fiction-documentary short starring Ponç, an adolescent from Lanzarote, who has several difficulties to fit into society, as he is illiterate, autism, and lives on a small island that is not prepared for people like him. Ponç is completely obsessed with reggaeton, acting and story telling, and that is why we invented this fiction of his past as a dromedary, to be able to play and show his abilities. In Lanzarote dromedaries were brought from the Sahara by the colonizers. Nowadays they exploit them for tourism.
