Chloe Hesar was born in Gateshead, England, UK. She moved to Surrey when she was 3 years old. She began taking acting classes at Laine Theatre Arts aged 10. Unsatisfied with not being on television, Chloe auditioned for her first professional acting agency at 11. Her first acting performance on screen was as Jen Brooks in The Bill (1984) when she was 12. Her first movie role was as Emily in Faintheart (2008), a story about an irresponsible man who has to shape up in order to win back his wife. Chloe won the role against 25,000 other actresses who had sent in audition tapes worldwide. According to the director, her audition stood out because she was the only one who kissed Martin, played by Joseph Hamilton, on the cheek.
