Courtney T. Burrell Jr. was born on August 20, in North Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is the oldest child of mother in the Pharmaceutical industry , Betty, from Philadelphia, and an Iron worker father, Courtney Sr., also from Philadelphia. After being exposed to music, sports, and entertainment overall as an adolescent, Courtney took on a journey of becoming a model and actor in 2006. At that time, Courtney was enrolled at Delaware State University intent on a career in Information Technology. He then left college in 2010, shy of one class to graduate just to follow his dreams in full force. His first paid acting gig was on a Nissan maxi-ma commercial in Connecticut of 2010. He played the part of a Quarterback in comparison to the new Nissan Maxima vehicle. This was the role that gave Courtney just a little taste of the industry and now he wanted even more.
