Dan was born in Queens, New York. His mother BettyAnn Fazio was a Queens native and of Italian descent. His father Supujana Mayid was born in Bankok, Thailand and moved to New York when he was only sixteen years old. Dan's acting career started when he was discovered by Don "The Dragon" Wilson in Atlantic City, New Jersey during the Action Martial Arts Hall of Fame awards event.
