Dora spent her tender years as a tom boy, wrestling her brothers, wrangling a dog that outweighed her and sending soccer moms into a frenzy as she climbed things at the playground (higher than 5-year-olds have any right to climb). She began conservatory training in voice and cello at the age of 6. Between years of singing in choir at her parent's hippie church, to performing in cello orchestras and chamber groups, she spent a large amount of time on the stage. That desire to perform just became stronger, leading her to high school, where she invested her time acting in the fall plays and singing and dancing in the spring musicals. In between all of the singing, cello playing and acting, she was backpacking during the summers, working at the local pizza joint, thrift shopping at goodwill, and picking jokes with her brothers at nightly family dinners.
