Son of an accountant and a mailman, he was born in Hacienda Heights, California, groomed to become a doctor, a pediatrician according to his parents. However, forced to play musical instruments as a kid by his mother, Lawrence grew fond of the arts and a curiosity for the imagination. While receiving his Bachelor of the Arts degree in THEATER at UC IRVINE, he found another outlet of self-expression through dance, which led to his participation on MTV'S AMERICA'S BEST DANCE CREW with KABA MODERN. After graduating, Lawrence continued to flex his theater muscles at award-winning theater companies such as THE GUTHRIE THEATER, EAST WEST PLAYERS, SOUTH COAST REPERTORY & SAN DIEGO REPERTORY. He is now currently a member of THE KINJAZ.
