Netflix Movies Starring Matteo Simoni

Matteo Simoni (1987) is one the most popular Belgian actors of his generation. His lead role in the hit comedy series Safety First catapulted him into stardom. After graduating drama school, he worked with various theater groups such as the Gent National Theater. In 2008 he and some of his fellow students started their own theater group called FC Bergman. Their play Homecoming was awarded with the prestigious TAZ-Jong Theater Award in 2009 and their next play Strolling Down the Champs-Elysées was selected for the Dutch Theater Festival in 2010. Since then, FC Bergman has been considered one of the most innovatory theatre companies in Belgium. Matteo can also be seen in various TV series and films. On the big screen Matteo played the lead role in Marina (2013), a film by Oscar nominated director Stijn Coninx. In this biopic Matteo portrays the Belgian-Italian singer Rocco Granata, known for his worldwide hit song Marina. Read more on iMDB
