Netflix Movies Starring Michael Cummings
Michael Cummings made his professional acting debut in Bergen, Norway at Den Nationale Scene (the same theater where Henrik Ibsen started) in a production of Ibsen's "A Wild Duck". While living in Norway, Michael developed a "literary tour" that he performed for the men and women and the families of those who work on the oil platforms in the North Sea. At the same time, he worked as a translator for a Norwegian playwright. After graduating from the University of Minnesota with a BA in Theater, Michael acted professionally for a year in MN before moving to Los Angeles. Among many other venues, Michael performed at the internationally famous Children's Theater Company, and worked in dozens of commercials and industrials. In Los Angeles, Michael mixed stage, film and TV: He landed roles on Drop-Out Father (1982) with Dick Van Dyke, Miracle on Ice (1981) with Karl Malden, The Family Tree (1983) with Melora Hardin, Desperate Lives (1982) with Diana Scarwid and several Shakespeare productions on PBS.
