After Grade Three at Primary school, Patrick moved to Andersontown, West Belfast because his grandparents were sick. After 6 years there, he moved back to Melbourne in August of 1999. He unsuccessfully tried to land an acting career in Ireland and only due to his parents encouragement did he pursue it in Australia. He had guest roles on Blue Heelers and The Saddle Club (2001) and also did a Red Rooster commercial before landing the role of Connor O'Neill on Neighbours (1985). In 2003 he was honoured with a Logie for Most Popular New Male Talent. After departing the show, Patrick spent time in the UK where he worked on several pantos and appeared on the West End in 'Vegemite Tales'.His UK TV credits include 'The Vibe' for Channel 4 and 'Give my Head Peace' for BBC Northern Ireland.
