Robin was born and raised in Riga, Latvia into a Russian/Ukrainian family. In 1999 he was able to relocate to Canada eager to explore new territories and culture. Robin made his acting debut in 2009 in the TV series "Murdoch Mysteries". After that he appeared in several Sci-Fi/action TV-shows such as "Warehouse 13", "Covert Affairs", "Lost Girl", "12 Monkeys" and others. His first big screen role was portraying a Russian technical specialist, Sergei, in "Resident Evil: Retribution". Robin is fluent in English and Russian. Robin's acting career didn't develop in a "traditional" way. Growing up in a family of civil engineers, he was guided by his father to pursue a career in science, which led to receiving a master degree in mathematics at the age of 22. But the calling for creative arts, most likely inherited from his mother who was a professional folk dancer in her youth, eventually took over. Read more on iMDB
