Shelby Graham was born in Phoenix, AZ to Mary Ann and Bill Graham, with older brother Dylan. She found the stage at the age of five when she acted in her first school play and would perform in school productions regularly. Upon graduating from North High School, Shelby moved to Austin, TX to attend The University of Texas at Austin. There she studied Radio, Television, Film with a focus on film production, and would appear in several student films. She also joined a theatre student organization that would allow her to maintain stage time. Her senior year, Shelby became part of Steve Mims' "Feature Film Workshop" class as a talent coordinator, and also as the bit part of "Waitress" - her feature film debut.
