Having studied with many Toronto instructors, and the famous New York teacher, Uta Hagen early in her career, she discovered there was not enough accessible and challenging character and truthful work in the Toronto scene, so she founded her own theatre company in Niagara. Stephanie Jones is the Artistic Director of The Essential Collective Theatre, a theatre company known for it's exceptional new Canadian theatre. Her one woman show "17.5" written by her partner, Jason Cadiuex and directed by Sarah Garton Stanley was critically acclaimed both in Canada, and on it's tour to London, England's fringe theatre. She is also a playwright and an acting teacher. Recently she apprenticed at the Nieghborhood Playhouse in Meisner technique by Ron Stetson. Presently she is represented by The Messinger Agency in Toronto and continues to write, teach and act on a full time basis. Read more on iMDB
