Tchavdar Georgiev is an Emmy-nominated producer, director and editor. Together with Amanda Pope, he wrote, produced, and directed "The Desert of Forbidden Art". Described by LA Times critic Kenneth Turan as a "remarkable documentary", it was nominated for two Emmys, won the Cine Golden Eagle Special Jury Award and multiple film festival awards. The film was broadcast on PBS Independent Lens and around the world. Tchavdar edited the two times Emmy-nominated HBO documentary "Valentine Road" as well as "Finders Keepers", both of which premiered at Sundance. He directed and edited together with Dana Berry for National Geographic "Finding the Next Earth" and edited "Alien Earths", nominated for a Primetime Emmy. He produced the feature thriller "Nevsky Prospect" for Amazon Studios. He has field produced for USA Network, History Channel, PBS, Simon Wiesenthal Center, SF1 (Switzerland), Channel 1 and MTV (Russia) and commercials for Adobe, Cisco, NASA and TELE2 Mobile Europe.
