Yvette Curtis was born in the Bronx, New York on August 16, 1960. She began her career at the tender age of 3 as a singer/dancer, appearing in small dance recitals and off off Broadway musical productions. She performed as a singer at the World's Fair in Flushing, Queens in the mid-sixties. She was a print model for magazines and toy box covers in her early years, and appeared in TV commercials. At the age of 8, Yvette was cast in the National Touring Company of "The Me Nobody Knows" as the characters Lillie Mae and Rhoda combined, and was later re-cast as Lillie Mae in the Boston Production Company for a lengthy run at the Open Circle Theater. In addition to the films "A Warm December," as Stephanie Younger, and "Claudine," as Patrice Price, Yvette appeared as a principle performer in several television commercials during the 1970's through the early to mid 1980's.
